You'll get better mpgs, and don't have to feel bad about letting that nice performance car go to waste.
1. The STI is worth about 4 times as much as the focus
2. I don't feel bad because I own an STI, its a sports car yes, not something you can just throw around and break all the time
3. I do use the power of the STI just not in auto-x format, I like my suspension
4. It is my daily driver, the last thing i want to do is not have a car to get me to work

Logged over 150 auto-x runs, 100 minutes of open track time, and 5k miles on my car designed to take old men too and from business meetings on R-comps which generate far higher G-forces around corners than you snow tires will.

not once was my suspension in-capable or did it fail to get me to work the next day....

your driving a sports car designed for rally and are afraid that auto-x is going too overstress it too much?

You know Subaru does rally right. The suspension is built for being used.

Edit, klod get out of my head

And hitting bumps at 80-90 will wear things out quicker than turns or "G's" at 20-30 MPH.

Faster you go the more the suspension feels it. Your hitting things faster and harder going that fast.

The definition OF a sports car is something you can throw around and drive hard all the time.

yonkers i respect you as a gentleman and a scholar but i just can't risk it. I don't have a backup car, trust me i would love to auto-x it. It's not the fact that i don't want to, i just don't want to risk wrecking something in the suspension or engine. Also keep in mind it has 110k on the engine
