I'd move in after we get married.

but we are looking at houses together so that its a place we both like.
One thing I would suggest is living with the girl before marriage. I am glad I am doing that first.

Yeah I do not plan on buying a house in Canton that's for sure, likely moving to Northville/Plymouth/Novi/Brighton next.

I know I don't have a clue, I just know its a lot of up keeping, parents just spent $14k on new roof for their house, roof was 15yrs old

I just need more money.

I want to get a house. I've seen one that had a mortage equal to what I'm paying now for my half of the rent for current living spaces.

Plus if I have a couple buddies move in.. all the extra cash to go back into the house and I can realistically have the same budget I'm used to having now for fun stuffs.

$550 a month would be around 110-120k if you put down 20% depending on credit score and interest rate.

at least thats what we're seeing in GR.

The one next door to where Courtney lives currently was a $90k house and Tyler and I looked it up to be $475/mo which included insurance. Unsure what amount percent wise that monthly number was for a down payment though.

house is $150k with putting over 35% down gets us into the $550/month range. Taxes and insurance included should be around $850-ish per month. It was a foreclosure so we don't get the "Homestead" tax break until next year, that should cut about $50/month off the taxes at least.

Thank man i appreciate it. I'm ripping out the old tile floor myself, just having them put the new one in. carpeting is just about the only other thing we're hiring out. shouldn't be real bad, next year ripping out deck and putting in a stamped concrete patio.
