And I'm saying that the economy theyre advertising for that car is slightly more than optimistic. I have no doubt that the car will be capable of surprising economy for what it is, but saying that it can go 200mph and also capable of 2000mi @ 68mpg is just silly, because they're probably using a retarded data sample for it, like they managed to hold 68mpg predictions from the computer on smooth, level ground with a tail wind for about 30sec.

Whereas if you were to attempt to actually drive it 2k mi, you'd be glad you have those midgets with you. because if your gas foot slips even a little or have even one lapse of economical judgement, your mileage would probably drop closer to 45mpg, down there with everyone else

On a completely unrelated note - has anyone made a (production) turbo hybrid yet? Sooner or later these engineers are going to realize we're not giving up our performance and will just offer hybridization on sports cars Dodge's EV was a good first attempt at this by working with lotus on the design - despite the fact that I've yet to see even one of these cars on the road.

Short periods of WOT are just blips that wouldn't affect your MPG that much.

Real Life data:
on the way to the tail of the dragon this year cruising to TN the car pulled down 34.9-35.1 MPG every tank.

that did include small bursts of WOT and other tomfoolery. some tanks had more WOT than others.

on the other hand a tank of non stop high RPM full boost driving netted us a scant 18mpg.

turbos are marvelous things. pretty much as long as you aren't in the boost you aren't using gas.

Update on wheels. Will be made in two weeks. Air freighted on their dime which will take a couple days.

Also had them make ET42 instead of the initial ET45 I ordered.

So within 3 weeks I should have a set of PR3 17x7 ET42

Good to hear they're owning up to their error and doing what they can to make up for it.
Two weeks does seem like a while though.
What vendor was this?

2 weeks is fast as hell. Custom orders other than what's in stock takes 10-12 weeks lol.

Team Dynamics. Good company, good wheels. Just happened that someone made an error.

it does seem like a while but I'd imagine the schedule looks something like this:

3 days to fit the wheels into their build order.
1 day to cast the wheels
1-3 days for maching
1 day to send out for finishing
2-3 days for finishing
1 day to send back from finishing
1 day to get inspected
2-3 days to ship

so really not too bad

Ahh, yeah - I'm semi familiar with TD, being a big enough name to have made it into FM4.

10-12weeks?! damn. Full custom spec though?
I'd love to get a 17x7.5 4-108's w/whatever offset keeps my tires the hell away from the strut spring mount plate (~55-60? or is that moving in the wrong direction? heh).
