Also you see the $1000 Scirroco on MIVE? offered to trade him my SSR's + paintball gun.

figure its sort of a shot in the dark but I've got 3 other sets of BMW wheels and those things in FSP trim are 2100lbs and 230whp

Would an 8 or even 8.5 fit/work?

there are multiple ways to fit a certain tire size.

for example on a e46:

8.5" wide with 265/35/18 fits because the wheel is so narrow it pinches the tire thinner.
9" wide does not without more offset because it squares the tire up.
9.5" fits easier than 9" because it bumps the tire out a hair bit (but doesnt stretch the tire)
10" fits the easiest of all, and has the widest contact patch....

Klod 8.5 would work with a lower offset.

Darwin the lower off set you go to get away from shock, puts you closer to rubbing fender

7.5 aren't common. Why do you want to go wider, just wondering for looks or purpose

Mike had 235's on his and it looked badass.

that'd be the street use size of choice for me if I still had a focus.

Brads, since you both like project cars, focus, and shells, for 3800 you can buy all of haveblue83's stuff.

I'm a pragmatist. I usually fo for function over form.
If it looks nicer, then thats cool too.
Once i finish rebuilding this car i do want the option of tracking it.
