sway bar end links are 2-bolts (12mm?) on each side....all you do is remove wheel and remove endlink/install new.

Ahh so the alignment was unrelated to the end links. The endlinks require basic hand tools and a jack, that's it? So you don't have any tools?

Kyle & Kevin

what are your thoughts on parting out a bike?

My CBR has 2 junk motors:

Motor 1: Destroyed the head/piston #2
Motor 2: Spun Rod Bearings and Appears to need new bearings/resurfacing to be useful.

The rest of the bike is minty fresh.
Carbs are good operate smoothly,
new stainless brake lines, tires are still good, wheels are good no odd shimmys. nearly new ebay plastics. frame is rust free.

think it's got $2500 worth of part out potential?

I've never parted out a bike before but it seems as though I'd be able to re-coop the $2500 I have into it....

it doesnt really make sense to spend another $5-700 on another motor off ebay (thats supposedly guaranteed to be good.

so my thought is part this bike out, re-coop my funds, then use those funds to buy another running/driving bike.

Thoughts?

meant lca. Lower control arm. The lca bolts are infamous for freezing up and ripping up the bushing.

Dreading that when I do my suspension, to the point where I might just try to rent an internal spring compressor and try to get my rear springs out without messing with the bolt.

get rear springs out with crowbar and install with crowbar or tie spring shut with clamp and metal string then cut string once installed (thats how we did my buddies a few years ago)

ok...i'll re-phrase. i have basic hand tools and a jack...but after the fiasco of installing the suspension i don't want to touch the underside of my car again. someone else can do the shit. i just need it done thursday.

No issues with my control arms, luckily. was a huge PITA to remove the rear springs tho.

Trade plastics and I buy tank cover for the cheap? Even though the purple/yellow/black looks good I kinda like the white/green/black better
