what is it you actually do Brad, for Recaro?

My experience at the Hotline keeps me constantly contacted with the Seat Engineering crew at Ford. ya know, emerging concerns, new product, new materials...I've learned a lot from them.

Originally I was a product engineer. Worked with the custom on what exactly they wanted in the seat. maintained the bill of materails, managed all the changes and what not. Worked with suppliers to get the parts we want and helped out to solve any issues we had either in the plant or out in the field once seats were in cars.

Not i'm moving into a test engineer position for all the oem's I do all the seat testing (well cooridinate it anyway) for all the prototype and pre production seat testing.

Seems like that sort of experience would be useful in lots of fields from engineering to buying to consultant etc.

From my personal experience I'd say work experience is far more important than schooling so you should have a pretty decent opportunity to look for anew job (plus you still have a paycheck coming in currently)
although other people seem to have no luck getting jobs without their degrees.
