why are we concerned about voltage ratings? you're going to put in a limiting resistor anyways so that will take care of managing the voltage to the LED as well. if it had a higher output then i see your point.

Wedge Engineering brackets are being welded up this week. Should be shipped Monday or Tuesday next week.

Sliders I'll have in my hands today once I take my 'I bought shit' piece of paper to shipping and grab the parts.

Just need to con my trim people into making my covers a priority (meaning toss em some cash to stay after hours and make it happen).

then just a couple of cheap resistors to fool the air bag light and these bish's will be going in the car

The stock is rated for 3V LEDs.
Red are 1.7V and blow even with resistors.
Some (most) switches, esp the circuit boards, it's very hard to add resistors if not impossible to the PLCC-2 (or whatever) LEDs.
It's just not worth my time to try and figure out every rating and where to change what for a damn red LED lol.

Yeah, they blow with my standard resistors. I'd have to calculate for a bigger resistor to be added, and then that couldn't be added everywhere, either.

Started browsing my350z for BSP Z car builds since that forum seems to be more active in the motor sports section than the g35driver. I think I found the guy with the prepped BSP Z at the pro solo who was running 315 square set up.

ok...

well in the EE world, it's considered standard to run a current limiting resistor with an LED, if your LEDs don't match the stock ones (have a lower voltage or can't handle as much forward current) you're going to have issues with them blowing out early (just like you have so far) the PCBs will already have current limiting resistors for the stock LEDs, so you'd only have to swap those out.

just saying there's a right way to do the work so that you can use any LED you wish, including ones that produce more light by allowing a higher forward current.

soldering SMD resistors isn't very hard.
