I bet that guy is $1000 still (or more). That kit can be bought for about $300 if you want to do it yourself.

Yeah, I was thinking about just buying a couple cans and doing a door to see how it looks and feels. That's what is great, don't like it, just peel it off.

We tried doing the roof of my jetta with just the rattle cans. didn't turn out very well. But we believe its because we didn't hold the car far enough away from the car for an even spread. Looked very splotchy.

But if you don't mind using up a can on your door as you said it can just peel off so no harm no fowl. Do it up and post pics

The car kits aren't rattle can, they come with a sprayer...

Also this stuff is interesting. Could slowly change the tint of tails or wheels?

Also, have you guys heard about ppl plasti dipping, and then painting the plasti? Then you can do any color you want. Seems interesting.

Yeah, I know to do it right I would need a sprayer. I was thinking just to see about what it would look like I could just rattle can a small area, like a door.

I have been reading that painting over plasti dip makes it brittle.

That smoke stuff looks like it could be really cool for tail tinting.. Might need to pic a can up sometime for the G tails to play with.

Also I plasti-dipped my tow hook and painted over it with the green. looks fine.

Also our buddy Justin plasti dipped his wheels and then painted over that in purple and then again in highlighter yellow/green. All of which turned out great.
