Hey, anybody know anything about this strut bar, I think it is strange that it is in two peices, the plates that bolt to the top of the strut towers separate from the support bar. The guy only wants $21 for it. Thoughts? http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/pts/3133116439.html

Front strut bar is useless and I think it's an eBay knock off, not sure if rear is just stock one?

I talked to some other people on here and they said that it was ok that it was not one solid peice. It looks to be this one from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Polish-Aluminu.../dp/B001EUFP9Q. Rear one is just stock, I'm not planning on getting it.

Thats a pretty common design for the bmw strut bars. it allows the bar to be removed easily so that its out of the way for working on the engine (not as much of an issue on the focus)

Given that front strut bars dont do anything but provide an arm rest for the person working under the hood i'd say thats just as good as any other.
