For future reference a co-worker of mine is a member of waterford hills and can rent the track for $1100 for a day (10am-6pm)

might have to consider setting up our own track day next year.

I'd be game, just wouldn't push my car that hard. Or have a new one, or have a windage tray in it.

yup thats what I thought! plus being a small group of 10-12 people it'd be around $100 per person and you could just go out and do individual laps or do heats or however we wanted to have it setup.

2-3 Cars on course at a time staggered would be money to have all the hot laps you want w/ 0 traffic in your way or coming up behind you.

I'd propose same rules as open track days, only pass on back straight and only allowed with a wave by.

i'd be game for sure!

So here's my dilema.

If the guy who has Kyle's old SVT wants to sell it for $3500 I can probably get that and have to have the timing belt done.. so say around what $3800 total invested for car and parts and 'labor' (friends helping and food provided blah blah)

or.. I can possibly pick up that A4 I linked earlier. I'd go no higher than $2300.. So say I spend that much.. new motor mounts would be $200, super timing kit which includes, all pullies and water pump and all that goodness is $320. Again labor being friends helping and beer/pizza total spent would be probably right around $3k mark. So $800 less and I'd end up with a 4-dr manual car with awd and boost... I kinda like that idea better....

I did the timing belt at like 110K, in like 2009. Car has about 150k on it now?
