You'll be able to get the rear discs and put them on a regular sonic once the RS is released. To me they just don't matter, I'll never auto-x the car with an extreme seriousness so there's no point. I'm sure the drums work just fine in day to day life lol.

Not really. on a car that small/lightweight its not really a need until your doing hour plus long track sessions.

the drums will be lighter and therefore more ideal for stock auto-x classes. plus the hopped up brakes may not allow me to fit 14-15" slicks on it.

I can get past the look of drums. Rob has them still on his zx3 and honestly it's the last thing I notice when I look at his car.

I would prefer rear disc's for the sake of serviceability. Replacing drum shoes is a pain in the dick. Rotor/pads so much easier

I wasn't going to buy an $8k car with rear drums, certainly won't on a more expensive one. Interesting, 2011+ V6 stang has basically identical mileage numbers to the Focus...

don't know what that has to do with lazy sneeze.

but rotor behind hub is a pain. front brakes on the benz are like that, have to take the whole hub off(which means pulling wheel bearings), unbolt the rotor from the hub, somehow get the rotor out (which sometimes includes a large hammer and some choice words) then "installation is the reverse of removal" I love the benz, the brakes on it are really nice, but that's a lot more work than "take the drum off, change shoes"

also i have nothing against drums, they work well in certain applications and as long as they don't get all gross and rusty you don't see them.
