I feel like part of those restoration kits is just polish that fills in some of the minor pits, etc. If you want them to look great, break down, wet sand them, and buff back to new.

I used the 3M kit on the Focus and Jetta head lights. You'd have to ask zach how the head lights look today.

I can't understand a word he just said in that post.

if he had pictures/logical sentences then I'd be all for it........but not being able to hear/see the car run I'm not doing it.

I've already got 1 bike motor sitting here thats junk because I didnt get to see that one run before I bought it on good faith that it worked....not going to risk it with that sort of dough.

3m kit uses a series of steps

300 (or 500 i forget) dry sand

800 dry sand

3000 wet foam sand disc

then then polish compound

I think that it anyway.

oh and I used it on the G too

Maybe I used the mothers then or something. It just had some cream shit and a polishing wheel.

thats the mothers kit. piece of shit. 3m is way better but you need to replace the uv coating that is worn off / you are taking off via the whole process
