klod like a boss!

need to teach me your "sell ALL the things for a profit!" ways.

aka help me sell deb.

so i've been thinking about it... and the more i do the more i think i'll take the money from deb and save most of it...

maybe use some to buy a new toolset after i move to GR. maybe build a computer with some of it (probs not both though) and just hermit style stash the rest away.

need to start building up a good cushion of money, and i really don't need to play keeping up with the joneses. plus i can start an "eidechse fund" so that i might be able to build that car before i'm too old to REALLY enjoy it.

also name is up for reconsideration so shoot out some ideas (most people can't pronounce it correctly [eye-Deck-shuh])

also also thinking about building the car in "stages" aka starting with mostly boring stock-ish parts and leaving the opening to upgrade to better suspension/uprights/brakes/whatever. that way i'm not (essentially) dropping the full $20k budget at once into the thing. build slow and build well. either way it's going to take a LONG time...

Can try amigo.

although your asking almost double for a car that almost nobody wants to modify that doesnt run vs the car I just sold which is known world wide as a sports car and did run.

I ran into the same issue trying to flip focus stuff and your running into selling Deb.

people want it and are enthusiastic about the focus...but they dont have the money....if they did they wouldn't be in a focus in the first place except for the rare few exceptions.

I'm not knocking the focus by any means. I still think the egg was one of the best handling fwd cars I've owned. you just wont get 15 pms in 3 hours from people offering between $800-1000 shipped for 4 STOCK wheels like what happened to me today because most focus owners dont have that sort of extra cash.

Klod, at this point i think Deb will be a part-out.

i'll probably fix/finish the harness so that i can hear that engine roar (running the right way) through open headers and then just start tearing it apart for sale.

scrap whatever people don't want (which will be a lot) but i figure i can get more than $2k selling everything piecemeal.
