lol true i have, but i thank Kyle for making me really think about my decisions...

ultimately i realize that I've thought them out well enough to my standards, but I'm glad me and him are going back and forth...

this is the most informed and interesting (and civil) car discussion that has happened in this thread since well.... ever, i think. But yes, the idea of turboing a miata is not what i'm going for. Mostly cause then i'll want to buy a miata now and start playing, and then i'll never save any money ever in my life. :P

which i realize sounds weird but by putting this giant mass of engineering between me and spending money I allow myself to save while still playing around with cars and trying things. Once the design is finalized-ish I want to make a model of it and put it in a racing simulator (there are many for PC that allow this) and race it virtually. I'm not going to let it drive my design, but I will use it as a fun tool to "drive" my creation before it's created.

nice pic kyle.

if you want help with your miata (if you get one) let me know. I love wrenching and that's one of the reasons i'm excited about designing a car.

also if people want electronics stuff done I'd be happy to design what i can and build it for you. My "integrated" bluetooth module for my radio cost me $20 and it's legit. there are some other ideas i'm playing around with for wilhelm...

and as per usual i'm the resident Megasquirt nerd so if you want a custom engine management system i'd love to help.

that's one hell of a flyby...

also no problem Kyle, it's all about having a good time and spinning a wrench or two :P

If people give a crap/are interested I'll share my modeled version of my car so anyone can play with it once i finish the model (which means i need to get close to final on the design).

"This is our home, Camelot!"
"It's only a model"
*shhhhh!*

thinking about making a site for it to keep all my thoughts and stuff together and make a "design/build log"
