this is true. then i become like you...

Timmeh: "Brad, T-bell/wal-mart/qdoba run?"
Brad: "Sure, don't feel like opening the garage to get the Jetta though"
T: "Ok, we can take Wilhelm"

also there is Attic space... and there are parts up there... just needs more organization (and some lighting)

but if we're leaving that house after this year we shouldn't pour any money into that garage.

lolz thats how I get wrassled into driving places after driving all the way cross the state. I think is just Akus way of getting out of driving/being lazy

Also aku I sent you email with both shipping addresses in 1 thingy but note that the interior door panels had the wrong zip so I sent it over seperate.

also also if you can email/text pics we discussed earlier I can perhaps post them for sale from the jet as we apparently have WIFI onboard

Watch as Brad completely ignores all commentary about his laziness...

:P

but ya, even if i get "Sneeze Syndrome" with Wilhelm, it just means less miles driven and more money saved.

Is he ignoring, or just too lazy to respond?

No such thing as a free lunch sneeze (or infinite free trips to T-Bell).

also sounds like locost interest keeps fluctuating... the way i see it you can go 1 of 3 ways:

1) quick and dirty (like that miata Kyle posted)
2) buy a kit car or parts of one (like a Se7en or Locost)
3) design a car from the ground up (like me, gonna use as many tried and true drivetrain components as possible)

If people are interested in my idea I'd love some help designing/researching/sourcing/building and i'd share all my work of course.

If people want to do a kit or a modded stock car I'll certainly always be open to helping with things.

When i'll be able to build the car i have in my head, i have no idea... but i've got plenty of time... so I'm working on it now. maybe i'll start slowly acquiring components here and there, but it's not going to be like "i'll be driving this thing in 2 years"

if more people are interested in the design and development it could probably be accelerated (and we've had this discussion before). Problem is that I can only do so much of the work without parts, and if everyone wants something different it's harder to design. but if we can make modifications on the same basic theme i think it'd be awesome.

either way, I'm shooting for a low weight, MR car powered by a Yamaha R1 or similar, with possible provisions for a hayabusa engine (space wise).

back to making EMC cables... and then to tossing parts around in my head and trying to figure out how to make Miata CV axles play nice with different differential options i'm thinking of.

Mine wouldn't necessarily be quick and dirty, you could still make it look a hell of a lot better than that one... My thought would be that you could do it in sections, so you don't have to do everything at once. (And can drive it for fun the whole time.) Start buy gutting everything out you can, normal race car weight stuff. Then remove doors, start adding in lower cage parts, and stripping away sheet metal, etc. Once you get done, it could still look awesome.
