Aku, im on vaca Bitch. Gotta finish the upgrades we started in kitchen yesterday.

New sink and dishwasher. But its a plumbing mess. Just a homedepot run away from being finished

Latest hair brained idea of mine.

Stock Focus hitch is Class 1, handles 200lbs tongue weight. Here is my idea:

Make a custom 2 inch receiver hitch for my car, (reinforce it as much as possible) to run a motorcycle carrier on my car. Figure 40lb carrier, and 220lb bike = 260lbs tongue weight, not that much more.

My concerns are weight sagging the suspension too much, and or maybe wheel bearings wearing fast? I wouldn't' be hauling the bike every day, but like once a week probably.

Thoughts/feedback? This plan would allow me to keep Focus as do all car, haul bike, winter car etc. and buy a play car, like a mustang/vette.

Kyle as the only one who I know tows, the limits are not the hitch, but the car itself. That weight that far back will kill steering, traction, and stability. My trailer only puts about 100lbs of tounge weight and it is very neutral.

If that becomes the case, my thought is maybe build a biker carrier on one of these...

Also your car is pretty low and level tho right? I have stock SVT stance on my car, so the front is almost an inch lower, so that may help with the weight in the rear.
