Lol i never said anything about comparing the Hz on plasma vs lcd. They only recently (last year or two) started advertising the Hz on plasma tvs to get uninformed consumers to buy plasmas instead. The two technologies are completely different.

LED really is a marketing gimmick though. The only PRO is that you get a thinner tv with less power consumption. I don't care how thin or light my TV is because it's going to get put on a stand and never touched again. The power consumption isn't a selling point for most people.

Anyone who knows anything about tvs will recommend a plasma for a home theater. To extremely simplify it, darker blacks allow for are more detailed picture and true picture. A properly calibrated plasma looks AMAZING.
