bmw dealer wants $1700 to do the cables. that I'll just cut them at the knuckle for now and replace them once I get the parts.

they are a seperate thing all together I can't just undo the lines like I could on the focus

Hey I had fun this morning. Getting ready to go to class, go to start up the PZEV and blam no start. Missed Differential Equations but finally figured out the problem. Somehow the clutch sensor on the peddle isn't being pressed in far enough, I have to do it with my hand while I push the clutch down. Such a stupid reason, but I am so glad that was the problem lol.

Dunno, it was working yesterday night. Ill probably just add a bump stop to the sensor or something so that it presses it far enough.

Bend it down. It should be on a cheap bracket. Or just zip tie it and never worry again.

could also snip both wires and twist/solder them together.

ii'm a fan of the bypass method as klod suggested it. although the simplicity of the Chaney solution can't be ignored.
