Hey guys, question for you, I have an ABS and TC lights on, which I honestly don't care about normally, living here in MI. (F driving aids...) But since I'm going to be in CO, having ABS out there for crazy hilly snowy conditions, might not be terrible. I don't want to throw for $85 to spend 5 minutes running a scan. Any idea where to start? I'm assuming its just an ABS sensor that's bad, but a basic scanner only checks for engine codes.

Yup.. check your ABS sensors.

Mine on the jetta were on the other day.. When I put the stock suspension back in I accidently pulled the 2 wires out of the connector on the pass side. Once I re-wired that up everything worked fine and the lights went off.

Check the sensor. It's spacing to the metal rotor thing it uses to pick up its signal, the wiring and things of that nature.

I had those lights on as well. I got it scanned for $40.00 and they told me it was the right rear sensor with a problem. Upon inspection I found that a wire was broken within the connector. It was worth it to me.

Both places I've called have said $85 +, I can buy two front sensors for $50 at autozone, and one rear for $44, so I feel like $85 is a lot.
