It's a common problem with D23's. I have never seen an issue of it with mine, but I also don't push it around turns very hard. A lot of people run baffles in the oil pan to prevent the starvation and sloshing around.

What does the pan baffle, or oil starvation have to do with the PCV system or burning up oil?

I would assume that you are sloshing oil up into the motor which would have more oil in the valve cover? Thus spraying it out, or if your PCV is broke, it would be shooting the oil out the valve cover into the intake again.

Theres many options, but if your not smoking, then you are not burning.

The last motor was burning tons of oil, and never really smoked at all running 5w-20. I'm running 5w-30 in this car now. How can oil slosh from the pan to the top? The pump is feeding oil to the top, I don't know how it would slosh at much?

did you put in more than the recommended amount of oil? you might be whipping your oil with your crank. that would send oil all over the place.

I filled it properly when we put the new motor in. I've been checking this thing very closely because of issues related to the last motor. Everything had been fine until I got back from a recent trip to Grand Rapids, and it was like 700ml low on oil. (Had not burned any rolling to chi and back tho, the weekend prior.) On the trip back it was a really hot day, and we ran from GR to Lansing, then sat in a traffic jam in Lansing, and I'm sure the oil was as hot as it could possibly be at this point. I checked it that Monday, filled it up, and have been checking it daily since. It's staying basically full now, I'm just paranoid as shit now.
