You did well, that site is great for clearance items. Some real bargains as you found out!

Thats a sweet deal! I've been looking at cortech stuff as well. where did you buy it from?

the only thing I'm not willing to go so cheap on is the helmet Shoei or Arai for me please.

some road rash/burn will be extremely unpleasant but I can deal with that if/should I have to.
Head injuries are what I dont want to compromise on.
plus I figure gear is transferable from bike to bike.

HJCs are as safe as SHOEI's just heavier. What bike are you getting Klod? I'm thinking about getting a bike in July...

Used to be "New Enough". Great service, lots of selection. I've bought two of my jackets from them, my boots, 2 pair of gloves, overpants, etc. They usually have killer deals on clearance items, typically just last year's models or whatever.

I had an F3, great bike, had 13k on it, never been dropped. When I went to bike nights everyone wanted to look at it, because you never see a 1996 that's clean and original paint/graphics. Gear it down a little, and you'll run with new 600s up until as fast as you should be going anyway.

I'm looking to get something in the $5k range I think, probably a 600 just to keep myself out of trouble, although I really want like a z1000 naked bike.

Yup Yup. out of all the bikes I've ridden so far the hondas are the most comfortable to me! I'm looking for the $2500 range. the problem is that most everybody I know with a bike has spent a fair amount more than that so I'm being pretty picky looking for the right one.
I'm certainly not opposed to a zx6 or r6 but if I had my first choice it'd be a honda
