also, i know a bunch of you all have had your timing belt replaced at different times, but how do you know when it needs to be replaced?

I did mine at 86k and it was looking pretty rough. Looked fine on, but once it was off you could see cracks all over, every tooth.

if u take it to a garage your looking at a $600-800 repair. belt is like $40-60 and rest is labor. there's also tensioners/pulleys you want to replace too.
we should have a garage day at someones place,maybe? during the spring. i would if i had a house/garage. my parents moan about me using it, let alone anyone else. i still dont think they they im taking the engine apart in there.lol
