Finish focus, quit dumping money into money pit
Where do you get your info from? Apparently not me.

How is it a money pit? I only did maintenance on it since I've had it. So I don't know wtf you're talking about.

Jeez you guys are so quick to jump and say "do what I say how I say it and now" and have absolutely no idea what my finances, time commitments, etc are. Lol jeez.

Why would I sell my DD?
I am working on focus when I can.
I work full time. I go to school and am studying for exams.
I don't have unlimited budgets.
I have 3 cars and my Ford E350 cost me a ton recently for my business that I run (on top of everything else).

So before y'all keep saying "oh just finish that real quick, think about those for a second."

Andrei, you argue about time all the time, yet you are constantly doing work on the S4. Swapping turbos now? Different intercoolers? Let's be honest, you've lost interest in the focus. I get it. Wrong WD car with turbo, vs AWD car with turbos. I get it.

I bought S4 parts I got a killer deal on, like $1,300 intercooler a for $200.

I haven't lost interest. It's like everything works against me- shop it was at wasn't open weekends, friends' house it was at after there had a tree fall on it and I had to take it back home at apartment, again.

I can't wait to finish the focus and I'm doing things here and there to do so. Every time I see it, I can't wait to drive it!

How long have you had it, how many miles and Im assuming its a B5 by the plural use of turbos?

B5 S4. 2001.5 facelift model.

I bought it in January. 150k.
I installed an APR stage 2 tune and Miltek downpipes a little while after.

There was no shaft play of any kind when turbos were inspected when we did downpipes.

It could just be the fuel pump. They're cheap, $130 for Walbro 255LPH. Hope that's it though.

Intercoolers. Turbos. Exhaust with mid pipes. Upgraded coil packs with billet adapters. Wheels. Tune. Lol

I thought you told me those turbos were replaced before you bought it and were good to go? That you had them checked too.

What's the issue that you need to upgrade?

Find out real issue. Don't upgrade before fixing what is actually wrong..

Checked fuel filter, prob needs to be done if it hasn't. Clogged injector(s), then fuel pump.

When pumps good bad, they just quit. From my experience

No, not the turbos. I never said anything about those. They are stock BW k03's

It had done (fairly recently, some just prior to my purchase):

- Suspension with Bilstein shocks and struts
- timing belt with water pump, pulleys, tensioner
- valve cover gaskets
- CV boots, outer tie rods
- clutch replaced and flywheel resurface

...and a few more things. Guy who owned it was meticulous at doing everything at the scheduled maintenance date at certified dealers and I have all the paperwork.

False. It's awesome. 6 new levels each week, and combined score ranks you between your friends. It's fun, and you can play to beat your friends.

So at 150k Im assuming someone MAY have already done the turbos and other maintenance so you may be ok.

as for the money pit thing, well I'm sure you already know because you probably did your research, but if you don't you need to, those cars are kind of know to be money pits and when something goes it's usually expensive as it usually requires pulling the engine. ie the turbos which like to go at 100k or so.....

I've always liked those cars but I've avoided them for that reason. Everyone I've talked to about them basically says keep a few Gs in the bank for WHEN it breaks so you can afford to fix it.

If you can get one that someone's already done all that too though... you're probably good...who knows. Hopefully yours stays trouble free and its just a fuel pump....
