Instrument Cluster - The "!" Idiot LIght???

I had to have my entire instrument gauge cluster replaced yesterday as my fuel gauge stopped working. Done under warranty. No scratches, dust, or dings anywhere, and no rattles so I am very happy.

I was running through the lights last night to check everything was OK, and everything lights up but the one idiot light second from the bottom left. It is marked in the SVT owner's manual as the "!" light. But this says its for an Automatic Transaxle. So why do we have it? It also says in the manual it should light on turning the engine on, and then extinguish.

Has anyone ever seen this light come on? I can't remember ever seeing it before the gauage change.
