i guess i'm lucky here, in my town we have some pretty good dealerships. when i got my cobalt, everyone was really nice, never had any problems with them, they even let me watch while they installed my decals.(too scared to do them alone lol) then at ford, when i hydrolocked my focus, the guy literally argued with insurance trying to get them to buy me a new engine, instead of the used one insurance put in there(which btw has screwed up 2 times since then....and insurance had to pay both times. woulda been cheaper for a brand new engine.) and they called insurance all the time trying to get my business dealt with.

while i'd be pissed abuot what happened, i do take my car out for a spin before changing my oil. gets the oil nice and hot so i get more out. it does hurt when your taking things off and probably isn't necassary with synthetic since it's so slick anyways, but it makes me feel better and lets me get an extra drive in. but a tech squeeling tires?

Generally speaking, techs hate when customers drive the car alot then bring the car in hot. My bro-in-law was a grease monkey and that kind of crap irritated him since he'd end up getting burned somewhere from the hot exhaust/engine/etc etc.

i have two burns on my arm right now from a friendly camry i worked on last week. it happens, but an oil change is an oil change...i don't bitch about the car being hot. its your job, do it and move on. i could count 40 scars just on my hands from working with toyota, its going to happen, but never never never never would i take one of my customers cars and start spinning the tires and beat the crap out of it. im actually too easy on the cars..heh

so far, nothing has resolved and im going through BBB...but now i got some debt collection crap calling my house. buncha bs, kinda funny my credit shit has always been paid off and yet they find something i don't even know about with huge interest charges and attourney fee's...

If you're going to get pissed over the kid driving your car like that, is it really worth taking the car in for a free oil change, or rather, having their guys change the oil that you brought in? I'm not saying you shouldn't be pissed at what he did, but if that's what they're going to do then why not just do the oil change yourself?

oh i will, this was the cars first oil change..im not going to bring it back, i wanted to bring it there because of the free oil change. i work on cars 60 hrs a week, i hate working on my own cars unless its modifying or repairing, especially on a day off.
