chevy dealer can't even change my oil

lol, i couldn't man... i was cursing up a storm to the service manager with customers around and then calmed down but very pissed off. lit up a smoke and walked around.. i knew more was to come and after a talk on monday with the general manager i will go over him. something will be done.

atleast they didnt tell you your engine was going into limp mode because the tire pressure was changing as indicated by the "!" light......

2006 huh? Is this your first oil change? If so, I would demand they exchange it with a brand new one that has not been abused.

The kid's behavior is unacceptable, but the management is being more reasonable than my most recently visited dealership. They damaged my wheel and service manager told me "we're not responsible for it". They claim there was a misunderstanding in who last tightened the bolt (they freaking tightened it minutes ago WTF.. ). Regardless, I can't believe they tried to tell me "oh but we're not responsible for letting our impact wrench f' up your wheel, because the lug nuts were too tight". They agreed to pay eventually but WTF...

yeah i agree with soviet russia..tell them you'll sue them or something dude. go hardcore, i would if i had an ss and they took it out for a spin like that.

oh the reason i was asking, is why did you have to go out and buy the oil, shouldnt they already have it?

The "joyride" was not within the scope of job and the dealership had received your authorization to take posssession of your vehicle and operate only to perform these duties.

I would find out the name of the mechanic, call the police and request a criminal charge against the kid for unauthorized use of motor vehicle in pursuant to your state codes.

If the vehicle was damaged, my understanding is that only the dealership is civilly liable, however if an individual does something that is criminally negligent, I believe the individual can be held criminally liable.

You as the person with the lawful title to the vehicle can call the police and ask for the prosecution of a dealership employee for unlawful removal of your property w/ intent to make an unauthorized use.




PS: be sure you ask for a free tank of gas from the dealership while you're at it.

the reason for buying the oil was because the book is for general oil changes "synthetic and heavy duty extra" in small print. i will be talking to the gm tomorrow
