It does not include the Flex-pipe. The flex will be extra. If you wanted a race header set-up, you could go to newedge and get a race header and flex combo

exhaust is in order headers, cat, flex, exhaust. all exhausts start at the flex.

Question

Which begs the question, why do they call it a "cat-back" system???

its kinda like when they say and instant boost in power. its actually like an instant dent in your wallet. maybe flexback just sounds too wierd.

I see where your coming from.
The exhaust from the catalytic converter back includes the flex pipe but isn't included in a cat-back exhaust system.

alright. if any of u have got the latest issue of sport compact car, they have 99 words or phrases "u need to know". this is their defi. of catback.

catback- the portion of the exhaust downstream of and not including the catalytic converter.

maybe this helps.

That definition then would include a Flexpipe on a Focus but we all know that a catback exhaust system sold for the Focus don't come with the flexpipe.
