svtf plus overdriven vortech

so before i start my build thread i have a couple of questions, but i'll give you the rundown of what i have now.

03 focus zx3 with an svtf powertrain conversion (the whole thing) at 87000 miles of road driving (mostly highway)

it currently has 2.5 inch off road pipe, stock flex, and 2.5 inch borla catback
also sitting witha clutchmasters stage 3 and lightweight flywheel. car has a drivability tune from tome in the ecu currently (predator tuner)

what will be going on.

old but recently serviced vortech supercharger kit with the air to water charge cooler.
kenne bell boostapump
60 lb hr injectors?? (i'm not too sure on the size they came with teh kit)
j and s safegaurd
innovative lc-1 wideband.

the kit cmae with an overdrive pulley that the previous owner had on the focus it was previously on, it made around the 280's on a low compression built block. the pulley is suposed to give 20psi at 7000 rpm
and here is where my question lies.

can the stock svt block put up with this much boost given the proper support? or will i need to build a block to use that pulley, also is there anything else i might need to make this setup reliable for daily use and frequent autocross? i dont rev it out that high too much except at the track.

i think ur really borderline! a good tune and a good intercooler i think you will be fine.

Simply put... yes.

20psi on the Vortec isnt near as rough as the 20psi I ran on mine from my turbo where you have full boost WAAAAAAY sooner than you'll ever see with a Vortec.

its air to water cooled. i already have a charge cooler. it goes between the vortech and the throttle body.

about how much power do you think i will make? i'm aiming for close to 300 hp.

You need to have Vortech do the math and make sure you not over spinning the SC at 7200

I will have vortech double check my math. But the kit was running this pulley before on the previous engine.

EDIT. i may also limit myself to 7k with an electronic limiter if that can be written into the tune. dont know too much about tuning.

bumping this for a bit of an update. ive picked up a j and s and the gauge for not too much. so ai have to thank focalized31 for that. als oi'm waiting for a reply form vortech for getting some parts replaced. the powersteering pump relocation bracket that everything bolts to is a bit dickered up. its most likely usable, if i can get the rounded bolt out. someone tightened one in too far or cross threaded it into aluminum, fail...

if they don't e-mail me back with a price i might have to make something custom. good thing i'll have their bracket to go off of. it'll probably be a bunch of 1/8-3/16" steel welded up. that should be thick enough to support spinning pullys and a pump.

EDIT: a co-worker that builds out jigs we weld with hooked me up wit ha replacement bolt for one that got rounded out. now lets see if i can get the bad bolt out. i hope i can
