think of it this way.....if you were driving the mustang that you just "raced" and the other guy was driving your car who would win??? that is in the same situation as this "race" was....its the driver that makes the car move....

if you were in both cars shifting them perfectly im still preatty sure the mustang would still win

whatever. kill your false hope that the v6 mustang is super fast. 16.5 quarter mile from two sources. leave it man, a stock mtx focus vs a atx mustang v6 i think would be a close run. a mtx v6 i think would win against a focus though.

What do you have against the Mustang GT? It's a good car. Fast and (relitively) cheap and powerful right of the showroom floor. So what's the gripe? You say you hate them, but why?

Why does moding a I4 Focus make sense, but moding a V6 Mustang not make sense? I don't get it?

My last daily driver was 2000 V6 Mustang 5 spd with a dual exhaust conversion. It was peppy. Great car. Never left me down. Handled good too. Showed it's taillights to a few Honda's.

In order for you to "beat" him, he has to know he is racing you.

Yeah!...He's reving his engine and smilin' like a moron is a clear sign that he wants a piece of the Zetec.................Plus if the V-6 mustangs are so "powerful"....he should have past me after I shifted in 2nd or 3rd...........Instead he saw my tinted hazards.....:)

Admit it.....it is possible!

Peace....................

Of course it's possible. Especially a V6. Not exactly a powerhouse and heavier than a Focus too. I have an issue of 5.0 Mustang where they put a ZX3 and a Mustang V6 in a head to head test/shoot out. I think it was pretty even, but they did say the Focus handled better and (yes, I hate to say this) got more attention form the fine females they passed.

Never went to VA in my Mustang

There are a bunch of Honda guys that "beat" me at the stop light drag strip. They pull up, rev up, lok at me, I look at them in confusion (what are you thinking?), and the light changes. I just let them go make fool sof them selves. I'm sure they told their buddies how the "beat" me. Sometimes I would turn as soon as the light changed so they knew I didn't care, but in hind sight they probably told their buddies I was so scared I just ran the other way. what's up with that mentality anyway?
