Everyone needs to sell their stock radio

If you still have your stock radio from your focus, you should definetly sell it on ebay. I got about 120 for mine with shipping. Not to bad, it would of just sat in a box or went to the trash anyway. Just a way of making a few bucks.

what is wrong with the stock 6 disk head? I love mine, and you can always add amps and speakers. And from what I understand, the unit is made by blaupunkt. (sp)

the stock 6 disc head is notorious for jamming, and causing all kinds of problems. You can add amps and speakers however, you'll need more parts since the stock unit doesn't have preouts. It will also give more distortion than an aftermarket HU and the sub frequencies roll off at high volume levels which can be kind of irritating.

For those who didn't quite catch all that, i'll translate. It's a piece of shit, unless you're like my father and are still just impressed that you dont haveta rewind anything.......

My single disk isn't too bad...it's the cheap detachable buttons that cause the problems. Mine power surges when I remove the face, or if it bounces around too much.
