Parking lights are the amber ones on the front and the rears are just your tails but they can be on with no headlamps thus called parking lamps. Around dusk I'll drive with just my parking lamps and driving (fog) lamps on which is a cool option to have stock,I had to do a little relay jumping to achieve independant control of my fogs in my 4Runner.
