Either my lights are on at all times, or they are not on at all. The parking light switch is useless to me. Daytime Running Lights are completely different from Parking Lights though. My daily commute puts me through a tunnel that passes underneith LAX. Sometimes I will flip my lights on at that point (I probably should ever time but don't) and they stay on until I get to work. I have seen cars with their lights on in the middle of a bright sunny day as on coming traffic, yes you can see that the lights are on. Every little bit can help for saftey, but it is illegal in most states to drive with just the parking lights on.

I use mine. Habbit. I believe that "law" is ...um. ...don't like it.
Just a habbit though. Maybe I'll stop it :/

Funny, sometimes I don't even remember turning them on :)

(makes sense that since it dims your interior lights, and sometimes people think they already have their full blown light on- it would be illegal. Just think it's not cool to be a law.

Law should be people over 80 are NOT ALLOWED ON THE ROAD NO MATTER WHAT!

There are some countries in the world that require all vehicles to run with headlights on during the day. Now as for the parking light situation it varies from state to state. I mean you can drive with them on here in Ohio if you want and no one will say anything to you about it. Even the police don't really care since they are after a much bigger offender(usually me speeding) lol. I remember when I lived in Sweden back in 93' it was law that we had to drive with the headlights on or face a 500 krona fine. They went by studies showing to where it reduced the possibilities of head-on collisions by up to 60%. So using a little extra gas or going through a few extra bulbs is well worth having that extra cushion of safety.
