rear license plate holder

So, i've got the stock plastic license plate holder on my hatch, and well, only two of the screws actually tighten down, to hold the palte in place, even so, my plate still rattles, bought some dynamat, and that didnt fix the problem. So my next solution. 1/8" peice of steel or aluminium. Gonna got it to the side of my plate, drill the holes so i can secure it to the car, and get some fine thread bolts to secure license plate to it. if that doesnt stop the rattle, then i dont know what will.

Anyone else try anything similar?

Have you tried gluing a couple of pieces of really dense foam to the back of the plate, so it doesn't bounce around and rattle on the hatch ?

Had a problem with the wife's old ZX2's rear plate rattling when you close the trunk so I applied some double sided foam tape to the back of the plate .
