Owned a Mustang GT today
Well from my way back from work, I stop behind a red mustang GT.....I do not know any model year but it was the one before the 2002 model...I guess......

The guy had some chrome wheels and had 4 tips on his exhaust....like each pipe had 2 tips..even had a guage pillar..funny and rice as hell but I continue......next light we are at the line side by side.......and I look at him kinda smilin' ( I know I can't beat a GT but I'll try..:)

So we go at it, I start 1st and 2nd already ahead (which I supposed would happen) after 3rd and he still hadn't catch up yet...I then shift at 6,000 into 4th and I glimpse around too see where he is and he's right at my back window level. I hit 95 and he was still being with a car on his lane so we stopped..............Hilarious......I had a grin on my face.....:)

And I thought I was gonna get killed ........:)

Ok, I'll bite. Wasn't a GT. Most likely a V-6. or a GT with 2 dead cylinders.

Probably.....I suppose it was a GT 'cause the back bumper was engraved so.....opposed to the regular model of that year where only "mustang" is engraved............

Unless he bought the bumper and also the dual exhaust pipe, it was a mustang gt..........

Is your Focus stock? What are your mods? If the Mustang indeed happen to be a GT, then nice kill and congrats. Its just with the HP and TQ, well the number are in favor of the GT.

I guess you could be right......I was just hoppin the early 90 models weren't that fast...even with a gt..........I guess I just killed a regular mustang........:)

Here are my mods R&DSVTZX5:

Black 2001 ZX3 MTX

Exterior: Carbon APC tailights, Tint( VA legal limit), badgeless, shorty antenna, Euro Licence Plate(95200 VD 95), clear corners
Interior: Sony HU, Pionner Speak, FC short shifter, Carbon gauge surround, Removed arm rest
Engine bay: FocusSport Cool-Flo intake, 65mn TB, Focus Sport Stealth Exhaust, AFX udp
Suspension: Eibach Pro-Kit

actually if it was the 5.0 they werent all that fast, stock they ran 15s, but thats still slighty faster than a car that stock runs 16s

could have been (since he had 4 tips on there) a fake GT, in other words a V6 that had exhaust. wouldnt be suprised that you beat them.
