Trouble searching dealership inventory
I am looking to buy an 06 or 07 ST but whenever I go to the fordvehicles.com, I only can bring up inventory for SE or SES models...I try to input ST as my search criteria but it only allows for SE or SES...
If anyone knows how to navigate those pages, could you look for any Black ST in a 50 mile radius of zip code 48183?

I just checked thru my ford employees site and there are none at this time. I checked my zipcode and yours and came up with nothing.
I took delivery of my 06 pitch black st 3 weeks ago and they had to goto Illinois to get it. My friend works at the dealer and he said they had about 6 in a 50 mile radius but they were all in Il. Try to goto the dealer and have them look, i know there are a few 06's out there and i've seen some 07's but your going to have to keep your eyes open! GOOD LUCK!!! |

I work at a dealership, and a lot of dealers don't stock ST's for the fear of them just sitting around until the model year end, then they are forced to take a loss on them, all the while they have been paying floorplan on them (think a car payment) every month.
I work in NJ and there are about 30 ST's in the state NEW for sale. It's too bad, because I love my ST, and I try to get the sales manager to order them all the time :)

I guess I'll have to order mine then...awesome.
Will I have to start making my monthly payements while I wait for my car to be built?

No Greg..typically you'll have to leave them a deposit to place the order. You'd start making payments once you've signed the loan contract etc. at the time you pick up the car.

That'll vary from dealer to dealer, however we typically ask for $500, which is applied towards any down payment, etc. FYI...with some very narrow exceptions, dealers in MI can't keep deposits, should you back out, change your mind, or whatever. It's "earnest" money more than anything.

The dealership I talked to yesterday said $100 deposit...but that's good that you told me they can't keep it.
I sent you an email by the way

Gooo Geese Gooo...lol
On topic..$100 isn't bad, we just tend to take more when it's maybe an odd combo etc..that might not sell well, should someone back out once the car is in.
