Adjustable cam gears Help

If I put adjustable cam gears on my stock cams, will it help me any? A friend told me it would help out quite a bit, but not as much as the whole setup inc. cams and gears. Also how hard is it to install gears? Thanks.

Dylan

you would need to get them dyno tune, then you will see 5-10hp.

^^^that also depends on how they came...some foci had near-perfect timing from the factory...it all depends on what they are now compared to what they will be once they're dynoed...

Correct, on some it makes really big improvements and on others almost nothing. If you are thinking of doing cams eventually, buy the gears now, the cams when you can, and get it all installed and tuned at the same time.

Also, check this out:

thanks for the help....i have decided to go Nitrous instead. More power for almost nothing....aka $400 (amount the cams would cost me). I will let you know when I get it in....
