Did it today, it's lighter, don't know if I like it yet.
Will leave it off for a few days, or even till I get a rear engine mount, that i've been dying for, then make up my mind.
Defenately more notchy, don't know if I like that too much, but I think that with a new mount it would feel better.
We'll see.

I did this mod last nite, what a difference. Def worth the little time it takes. Made more of a difference than a short throw shifter.

it isnt operator error mine works when everthing is removed but if i try and put just the bolt back in the hoel i lose 5th and 6th...and what is with the hammer in sickle?

Well Dont put the bolt back in the hole..... Lol, I didnt putit back into mine. I did this mod a LONG time ago, and I have had no ill effects.

When you put the bolt back in, did you also reuse the plastic bushing and spacer? Or just the bolt?

hammer and sickle....it's Russian...I like russian stuff.......I have a russian watch, clock, a Russian SKS, and 2 AKM's......

Why don't you have someone go through the gears while you watch and see if the bolt is interfering with the linkages.....that's what I would do.....
