Werd to that, I'm leaving my weight off. Feels much better. May need to adjust the looseness with the shifter in the gate, but it still feels better than before.

It actually felt ok when sitting in my garage off shifting through the gears when i started driving around, thats when i began to hate it.

How do i tighten the shifter cable? This mod was so easy im willing to give it a second chance.

nice find doug!

I gave this a go this weekend and I hadnt driven my car for a day or two before doing this. I could still tell the difference...

reverse is a little easier to get past that gate and it moves easier between the gates. I do notice that the gates seem a little more pronounced, or as someone else called it "notchy". think I like it.

has anyone seen this listed on any mini sites? be interesting to see what that community has to say about it and also see if they have any other ideas.

Doug, you are fast becoming one of my favorite people man! Did the mod, wow what an amazing difference on a stock shifter even. I don't ever check that other site so this is one of those things I would have missed out on. Seriously man.....damn fine post and thanks!
