Wow indeed. Looks like I was holding the correct line at least once or twice out there...

Great photos! Compliments to the photographer.

196 WHP and 185 WTQ. A very large increase considering that the stock Focus with an Auto is only turning out roughly 97 WHP and 85 WTQ. I should be able get above 110 on the back straightaway at PIR. What do you guys get up to on the back?

Oh yea. You'll hit that easy.

I topped out at close to 100 mph on both the front and back straights. Not having a tune, both the speed and rpm governors are always there- ready to dial me back in.

Not sure if the Zetec is the same, but Duratecs have the speed governor set at about 110mph, and the rpms are limited to around 6250. Never quite reached 110 mph out there, but I did hit the rpm limit twice on the front straight. As a result, the spark and/or fuel was cut off for a brief moment- which seriously slowed me down both times.

So.. time for a tune. (after i finish the brake project, which is of course immediately following the.... sigh...)

^^ Boost is not a requirement, but makes it more fun on the straights.. In any case, a track day is a BLAST!!

Those are pretty good hp/tq numbers! I would be happy with that.

With just myself in the car, I got up to 115MPH on the back straight..

With a passenger along for the ride too, I see 105 to 110. I like to give rides, so those are the numbers I get most often.
Like Random... I look forward to some boost. The only problem I would see with added HP is that it may lower the simplicity of driving my SVT on the track. I mean, comming out of a corner, you just floor it, shift, floor it, shift... there is very rarely a reason to take it easy on the throttle comming out of a corner, because I don't have enough power to smoke a tire very much.

Just don't mistake that last point as me not wanting more power... that would be a lie ;)

Wow Rob, I took another look at the pictures of you at the hairpin and you were a machine out there. Really good lines.

Thanks Jim. Funny, I don't remember seeing the ambulance and the Datsun p/u racing with you out there. Um...which run group were you in again?

Whats in the works Paul? Your painting your car?!?! I personaly would have purchased a turbo to get my car back running.. just me tho... lol

Well Rob, I was in what you call run group 5.... thats the run group where any Joe Schmoe can bring in their POS rig and spend some time tooling around on the track... we're not fast, but we sure are dangerous!! (hence the ambulance). hehehe
