Angry Shifter Knob Finish is CRUD!!!

Iím sure this has come up before but I didnít find it in my search.

I have a 05 ZX4 SES with the 5 spd. The finish is coming off the gear shifter knob. You can easily scrape it off with your finger nail. Has anyone else had this problem or did I get a fluke here. The dealer says it was scratched with something. I say it is Poor quality finish.

Yeah they are all like that, it's covered under warranty. Mine (2001) did that also, got a new one, under warranty, later on it did it again, I painted it myself, got pissed off and bought a MOMO in the end... way better.
