State window tinting laws question

I live in MA and go to school in PA. In MA the tinting law is 35% all around, in PA the law is 70% front, any for rear. So if the car is registered in MA and is legal in MA could I be pulled over and ticketed in states such as PA or NY because the tinting law is different?

IIRC Georgia is the only state that will ticket and fine an out of state registered vehicle for violating their tint law. It varies with each state but what happened there was a suit was filed in the Georgia Supreme Court by residents claiming it was descrimination to allow out of state motorist to avoid the fine yet fine residents. I found that information by doing a google search for Georgia tint laws. I'm not familiar with PA or NY tint law, just wanted to throw this out there because alot of people seem to believe that you cannot be fined as an out of state motorist

* if there is information on the web it would be at tintdude.com where they have a forum that you could probably get an answer from a professional

I believe you're cool since it's registered in Mass. If you were trying to register in PA, then you have to pass their inspections and all that, then you'd be in trouble.

Except in the case of GA, who's apparently got stupid laws (although I can kinda see the residents' point, but still). I remember when you told us that story about your truck Charles.

hey im boston im orginally from pa i lived on the new york/pa border. Believe it or not i had this discussion with a buddy of mine that is State Trooper. The law basically stats tinting windows are not illgeal but you have to be able to see out your windows and cops must be able to see in your windows. So itz pretty much it depends on the indivual cop. To answer the question bout can they legally pull you over yes they can its a traffic ciation. It is no different than a speeding ticket or anything like that. I have no idea bout New York state but i do see darker windows in New York than PA. So my guess is New York is pretty laid back. Neon lights are legal in NY but not legal in PA.
