2005 Brakes

I think we need to make a sticky for the 2005 pads/rotor options...we have the duratec performance guide, but nothing on brakes.

I don't know all of the options, but I'm sure we can all come up with them. If you know of something that isn't listed post it up here and I'll include it in the list. I also don't know for sure the sizes of the ST if they are the same or not, if someone could help with that too. Thanks!
Can a mod make this a sticky please?

2005 Rotor size:
(front) : 10.9"
(rear) :

Brake Pads:
1. Hawk HPS: HB519F.682
2. EBC Ultimax: D1044
3. EBC Green Stuff: DP21524
4. EBC Red Stuff: DP31524C
5. EBC Yellow Stuff: DP41524R

Hawk Racing Compounds:
1. Blue 9012 Part: HB519E.682
2. DTC-60 Part: HB519G.682
3. HT 10 Part: HB519S.682
4. HT 14 Part: HB519V.682

Brake Rotors:
1. ZXtuner has 3 options (slotted, drilled, slotted/drilled)
2. EBC: GD7309 (slotted/drilled)

Big Brake kits:
1. Brembo Big Brake Kit: 344-1A5-5004A1
Can be either black, red, or silver calipers. Add B, R, or S to the end of the part number depending on which color you want.

ST Front rotors & Brakes are the same as the other 05s according to EBC's catalouge. And just eyeballing it on my 06 ZX3 and my 05 ST they look the same.

Doesn't the ST have rear disc brakes too? can you buy those from Ford? And will they work with ABS?

yeah the ST has ABS discs all around. Ford will carry these parts but they're liable to cost a lil more from a dealer, since they really like to rape you on parts.

The front rotors should be 10.9"

For reference, all that is needed to upgrade the front brakes on 05-up Foci to SVT brakes are the rotors and the rear bracket for the caliper that bolts to the spindle. I just did this last night on my 2005 ST I'll post pics later on as well.

That upgrades the 278mm (10.9") front rotors to 300mm (11.8") SVT front rotors.

Here's the pic, they're at the top and wrap around...only problem is I don't think you can order it seperately from the rest of the caliper.
