Ive had my intake for 7 months.. no problems.. I dont see companies jumping out to help out the spi powered foci.. outside of FC, I havent seen any companies coming out with parts.. but I guess Im not looking hard enough?

No you aren't cuz I know of tons of parts for SPI's.

I bought the the short throw kit, and it has been flawless


Hey its capitalism so I'm gonna buy whats cheapest...although I woulndt use a 35 dollar intake.

well in terms of the shifter i see no reason in spending all that money for a machined peice of metal you cant even see

plus I hacked mine up

You can get really good deals on ebay, just depends on the item you are purchasing.... Buying used is your best bet if you are tight on money... Some things (ie: Ebay Short Shifter) are made with the same machining process and might not be as good as a steeda or b&m, but you can justify the cost in a way....

Also, these Bomz CAI on ebay are cheap metal that are probably hurting your peformance more than anything. Cheap metal that heats the intake air temp instead of cooling it down, and just because they say you get gains doesn't justify the inlet temp... I wanna see some tests on that...

As for the R&D from the big companies.... Lets talk about how many AEM cai have broken :)

I am not saying all big manufacturers make great products. I am saying they did the legwork and now some cheap bastards are copying them.

AEM may not have made the best CAI, but compare it to the Bomz copy and the AEM is a gem. Btw AEM is coming out with a new CAI setup.

As far as the short shifters go, again shitty little shops are copying other companies designs.

Like I said, in the end you only hurt us when you buy crap parts.
