I think I am going to run 225s in the spring also.

Difference
Diameter inches (mm): 0.35 (9) 1.4%
Width inches (mm): 0.4 (10) 4.7%
Circum. inches (mm): 1.11 (28.27) 1.4%
Sidewall Height inches (mm): 0.18 (4.5) 4.7%

Not much of a difference. Shouldn't be a problem.

i run a 225/45r17 on frpp springs, i rub a little on the fender liner when the wheels are at full lock...and there is a tab on the fender that the liner catches right on the top of the arch, i rubbed on that as well until i bent it up out of the way...no problems out back, lots of room in the rear(thats what she said)....

i ran 225s on my old stock suspension. I didnt have a problem until my front shocks started to go, hard turns would get a little rub in the front. The rear was fine.

I plan on running 225/50/16 on mine when I get some Slipstreams and a new suspension, but I have heard of people running 225/45/17's with no problems. I'm simply going with the 16" size for lighter weight and I want a new wheel setup.

I put 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports on. Great tire! And quite. And 30,000 warranty which is the highest mileage for a tire such as this. Already have 7,000 miles on them and the have plenty of tread. The Hankooks that were on the car when I bought it were almost bald and were only about 10,000 miles old. When I put the tires on the SVT had worn shocks / springs. I just put the FRP replacement kit on (new struts and springs all around). Old or new suspension didn't rub the tires. The new suspension just made it better. I'll probably put some Koni's on it next year for the fun of it.

I'm running 225/50/17's on mine slammed and rolled fenders. no rub. Might depend on offset of wheels on the inner part.
