Aussie Fords Coming?

nobody who truely wants a mustang is gonna buy a falcon. end of story.

but the falcon and compnay could really help ford get back into the Rear Drive segment which has exploded because of chrysler

actually no.. Falcons are HUGE .. like Five Hundred huge if not bigger... Mustang is much lighter and "nimbler" (never though I would say that about a mustang )

so if they bring a Five Hundred size RWD car with V6, V8 and some crazy power option,. it will leave a lot of space for a stang priced the way the stang is priced.. this thing would be more expensive (look at the GTO - 30k with incentives).

^^^how much does the falcon weight?....the stangs weight around 3500lbs, and so does the GTO.

I jsut looked 500 weights alittle over 3600lbs. What does the falcon weight, like closer to the charger? 3800-4000lbs?

so it would most likly be a copetition towards the magnum/charger/300c, basically. True, the mustang is more competition to gto, and will be to the camaro and challenger if they manage to come out. If the challenger comes out and the camaro, i think ford is going to boost the horsepower substantially, after all the camaro has a ls2 in it and the challenger is going to have the 425hp 6.1l Hemi, that 300hp 4.6 just wont do....NA 5.7L in the mustang anyone.

5.7? I thought after the 5.0 was the 5.8, please correct me if I am wrong.

Ford needs to do something to get the falcon over here in the states. Replace the
lack luster Fusion with the Falcon. IMO. Yeah I know the fusion is a new model.
But it is not an attention grabber and has no real power from a v6, just
the same old Duratec that was in the Taurus/Sable. The Falcon on the other
hand had me back in the day when I was always watching the Aussie V8
Supercar races on Speed channel.

Why does Ford Aussie get the US Cobra R motor (5.4L 32 valve) and all the newer
04+ F150s barely get an extra valve on the same motor (5.4L 24 valve)
