Question SVT maintenance?

Did a few searches and didn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I thought I'd ask a few of the gurus around here (and perhaps enlighten a few people who was wondering as well). I've got an '03 SVT Foci and plan on treating him, not a her, right. A few questions I had:

1. Oil - The book in the glovebox says 5/30W Motorcraft, I assume thats a partial synthetic? Typically does the 2.0 Zetec take 4 or 5 quarts?

2. Transmission - Got the 6-speed in my SVT. Any regular maintenance that needs done with the transmission fluid? I couldn't find anywhere to even check this fluid.

3. Coolant - I was told by some to get the "red" or "orange" coolant for my SVT, told by others to get the plain-jane green antifreeze from others. Which is better/recommended? Mixed with water or straight? Is there a relief valve somewhere on the system to bleed out airbubbles?

4. Fuel Filter - Probably doesn't need it but I've always replaced them when I've gotten a new car (just because). Where is it on the Focus, I've not yet picked up a Haynes guide for my car? Do I need to pull any fuses/open the gas cap/etc to relieve the system first? Tips?

Thanks guys! Totally appreciate it.

Well, since I've done #4 I can answer that one for you - you need to pull the fuel pump fuse (sorry I don't have the manual right here to tell you which one), then start the car and run it the couple of seconds until it dies.
Be careful removing the plastic clips that lock the fuel line to the filter, I managed to break one (the two halves still work the same), the clip looks like a 25 cent item but Ford charges $6.50.

The coolant is the gold type. Ford motorcraft part# VC-7-A or B. The 6-speed really only needs a fluid change at a higher mileage. Oil is 5w30 but type is up to you. Personally, i always use Mobil 1. Royal Purple is also a good choice for oil and tranny fluid.

There's been a lot of intelligent discussion on what kind of oil to use, which typically boils down to preference. As long as you're changing it often enough with the right weight you're doing a good job.

Of the rest, I have new coolant by way of a new radiator (thanks to a tree...), I'll be changing the fuel filter soon, which people seem to agree is a real good idea. I recently drained my transaxle and refilled with RP synchromax, and am somewhat undecided on the results. It seems to have smoothed the shifter out somewhat, but its certainly not night and day.

I'm not sure what the factory fluid looks like going in, but it looked like 12000 mile engine oil coming out. Maybe it was a good idea to change it? At least it was cheap and easilly done in my driveway.

Ford motorcraft part# VC-7-A or B coolant, don't tell me thats a dealer-only coolant? Or can I pick it up at my local Advance/Napa/Autozone?

I've heard that the VCT operation works using oil pressure, changing the weight from what it was calibrated on might have side affects.
