Question Will Hawk HPS Pads or other Hi-Per Pads warp my rotors?

Alright, i desperatly need new pads, and that brings up another question but Ill ask after this one. Alright im thinking about getting some hawk hps pads b/c they offer low dust and improved breaking and supposly last longer then stock, which i need b/c i only have 14k miles and my OEM pads are basically gone. But will these new pads warp my rotors b/c they are not OEM material? Other question is why is my passenger side front pad amount the same as the side of a nickle, and why is the drivers side the same size as the side of a dime. lol yea i know i need new pads, i just checked today and the drivers side is practically metal to metal almost.

If you are replacing the pads yourself one thing to do as well is have your rotors machined or "turned" to remove all the groves that are worn into them. I know O'Rileys can do as well as any brake shop will. But there might be the chance the rotors are worn to far to have them turned.

As far a performance pads I really would recomend EBC Greens or Reds. Here's a great review on the reds by a small time celebrity (in the Subaru community) Jamie aka SubieGal.

The HPS aren't really a "race" compound as advertised by Hawk, its more of an aggressive street pad. They're softer than the OEM pads by a long shot, and by far they're the lowest-dusting pad I've used on my car.

As far as rotors, I'd suggest dumping the OE junkers in favor of a decent aftermarket replacement...brembo makes some nice plain plated rotors (so they don't rust on unswept areas) for the stock rotor size. Pretty much anything is better than stock for front rotors...

k, thats what i need, dont really need a race pad just something that will handle the spirited driving i do once in a while and will not make my nice wheels look like i went off roading.
