I have the special tool and i turned in the caliper pistons to get the calipers over the pads, but then when i put the e-brake calbles on they hold the e-brake on and nothing will turn?? does this mean i need to twist the pistons in more?

you could just need to adjust the cable but you do that inside the car. You adjust theebrake cable on the hand brake

On the left side of the hand brake just under the boot, there is a 10mm nut. Turn that nut to adjust the e-brake tension.

On my e-brake there is no adjustment from what i can see, the cable just comes up the side and through a hole in the plastic and it has a retaining clip and a ball end on it. But i went out and adjusted both of the calipers in all the way, and then pulled the e-brake 3-4 times and when released it still spins free so maybe it's ok now, the brakes are all blead so i'll try it out tomorrow.

Thanks for the help all.

the nut should be underneath the retainer clip.

No mine doesn't have the adjuster nut not even under the retainer clip. But i got it to work, i took both calipers back off and set them all the way in, and re-installed them and set the e-brake 2-3 times then pumped the brakes and all is fine now.

Thanks for the help guys
Mark
