Get a can of Static Guard and spray it in your car as needed to kill static.

Remember those ugly little black straps that used to be fashionable to hang on the rear buper of a car?? They are anti- static straps, they loose the charge into the ground, but man are they tacky, I get shocked ALL the time when I get out, doesn't matter what car I'm in, but it is worse in the winter due to the dry air, also, helicopters and ballons also do this, just on a much much bigger scale, the static sparks can be several feet long!

That's what I was going to say, but I figured no one would want an ugly-butt black strap hanging down from the chassis of their car.

Elementa are you being bombarded with PM's yet? Give it time, boobies always bring people you've never talked to before out of the woodwork.

I always get a shock if i'm smoking and talking on the cell phone while pumping gas. It's very annoying.

What a positively shocking topic!

I don't recall ever getting shocked...even though i have cloth interior. I like cloth interiors better because they dissipate heat that builds up during the summer.

Anyway, if you keep getting "shocking" news, maybe you could have an aftermarket leather interior installed... just my 2.
