Thumbs up Slicks Or Drag Radials ??

still wating to get my car back from buiding up the tranny with a t2 torsion and a stage 4 spec clutch, after all this i want to take it to the track and i am seriously thinking bout some slicks, it is either this or some drag radials.
i have been looking to mount on my stock rims, 60/15 so i can only ride them on the track:
ECSTA V710 radials are 225/50WR15 Price Each: $152
205/50WR15 Price Each: $148

Description

or The VictoRacer V700 drag radials 225/50ZR15 Heat cycled Price Each: $144
205/50ZR15 Heat cycled Price Each: $151

Description

please let know what you guys think.
Thanks

Neither of those are drag-racing tires. Both of them are roadracing/autocrossing R-compound rubber. They have very stiff sidewalls and won't give as much forward stick as drag-oriented tires of the same or lesser price.

If I could have 245s on my stock size rims... I would definitely go for the 710s. Unless the new Hoosier AS305s are better now, these are the king of R-comps for those who's racing involves turns.

IF you want drag radials, then get the BFG G-Force Drag Radials in size 225/50/15

If you want slicks, you'll have to get a new set of wheels as the smallest slick that MT makes is a 22/8/15 and it doesnt fit well on a stock rim.

I have the bfg 205/50/15s and they are giving me hella traction now that i fixed my weight transfer issues. Times to come with everything working right and no wheel spin (now we have taken it up to 5000rpm on launch with just the slightest chirp, no clutch dropping either..just feathering!) These tires cost about $109/tire from tirerack.
