my first autoX event

i first want to say that auto crossing is one of the most fun things i have done is quite some time. On this meet on 4/9/2006 i had 3 runs and 1 "fun run" and i let me buddy, who drives a '92 prelude do a "fun run" also with my car. My runs were:

(1) 66.5
(2) 62.7
(3) 61.4
(fun) 60.5
(fun2) 57.4 my buddy took out 1 cone on though

On all 4 of my runs i took out 0 cones, so that was a victory in itself, and i improved on every run. Also to get an idea of the track the average run was mid 50's and the best of the day was an insane WRX STI that ran a 46.7.... holy balls was he flying and my buddy's best was a 54.?? in his 'lude. Also i posted a video of my 2nd run, it may take a while to load and it's in .mov type so watch... enjoy... give feedback, thanks.

clicky

Glad you got out there. It takes a little while to grow progressively faster, but having fun is what it's all about. I've dropped significantly in times from the slowest to the middle of the pack, so you'll eventually get there too. The focus is a great autocrosser (not the best, but by far not the worst). Did you happen to get any pictures as well?

Excellent, the more seat time you get the lower your times will go! It's addicting but safer than racing on the street.
